Please do your best to understand the correct knowledge and principles at school to work in the medical field!

Q

What is your current job?

A

I work in the cardiac catheterization room twice a week and in the dialysis room three times a week, but in the dialysis room, I prepare to check the machines and so on in order to welcome patients from the morning. After the patient enters the room, we measure weight, blood pressure, temperature, ask questions, and check the patient's health. Dialysis is a long treatment that takes 4 hours each time. I will do everything from preparation to cleaning up.

Q

How are you making use of what you learned while you were at school?

A

Since each patient's condition is different in dialysis, we have to deal with it according to the situation each time. It is used to remember and understand the knowledge learned at school at that time, find the cause, and respond to it.

Q

Why did you get a job (choose a job) at your current workplace?

A

Clinical engineers have a variety of jobs in the hospital. Among them, I was interested in cardiac catheterization. As a result of searching for a hospital that can do that, I got a job at the current hospital that was looking for a clinical engineer for cardiac catheterization.

Q

Please tell us about your job satisfaction and future goals.

A

I think the seniors are very kind. I'm the only foreign staff member, but I got a lot of help to get used to it. Especially for Japanese, I talk to staff and patients every day to improve. At work, it's rewarding to be able to understand each and every thing you don't understand. My future goals are to improve my Japanese and to get a certified qualification that will be a step up!
